General requirements for filing a patent application

A. Minimum requirements (required immediately for filing an application): application rights can be derived from a patent application which contains at least

a) reference to a claiming a patent;
b) data that is useful for identifying the applicant or making contact with the applicant possible;
c) description or a similar document, regardless of whether or not it complies with the prescribed requirements, or a reference to an earlier application submitted in lieu of a description.

B. Documents (information) that may be filed following the date of filing:

• Translation of the specification, claims and abstract into Hungarian (within four months from the filing date).

• Name and address (city, country) of the inventors.

• Priority data (within 16 months from the earliest priority).

• Drawings in three sets. The rules for the drawings are substantially in conformity with PCT rules for the drawings.

• Priority document (within 16 months from the earliest priority).

• Power of attorney signed by the applicant (no legalization is required).

• Declaration signed by the inventors. The signatures need not be legalized.

All other requirements and formalities can be made by the representative.
