Requirements to become a registrant of a .hu domain name
Delegation of domains directly under the .hu ccTLD may be applied for by
a) any citizen of the European Union or
b) any private person holding a permit for domiciliation in Hungary, or
c) Â Â Â Â i) any entity established by virtue of law,
ii) any entity entered in the records of or registered with an authority or court, or
iii) any entity filing its respective application with the competent authority or court and commencing its operations pursuant and according to the law prior to such entry or registration, in the territory of the European Union
d) furthermore, the beneficiary of a trademark registered with the Hungarian Intellectual Property Office or granted protection rights in Hungary, too, provided that the applied domain name is character-by-character identical with the word(s) of the trademark in question.

Delegation of domains directly under a second level public domain may be applied for by any domestic or foreign private person or entity.
It is important to know that according to the Hungarian Domain Name Rules the administrative contact person of the domain name shall have a Hungarian postal address and shall be able to communicate in Hungarian.
