Structure
Danubia is divided into the following departments: Patent Department; Trademark Department; Attorneys at law; Administrative Department (Annuities and Maintenance; Client Services); Financial Department and IT Department. Danubia IP Innovation Consulting Ltd., a separate daughter company of Danubia, has a team of experts on technology transfer and innovation management. As it was mentioned earlier, Danubia is in close co-operation with the IP Law firm Sár & Partners specialized in patent, trademark, copyright and other litigation, as well as other IP related and all other emerging legal issues. The joint action of these two firms highly strengthens the position of all our clients in IP litigation proceedings.
The Patent Department consists of two branches: a Chemical and Biotechnological Branch and an Engineering Branch. Cases in the chemical and pharmaceutical fields, including biotechnology are assigned to the Chemical Branch while the Engineering Branch handles cases in the fields of general engineering, electronics, physics, computer science and other related technologies.
The trademark lawyers and the Trademark Department specialize in obtaining, maintaining and defending trademark rights, and litigate in cases of infringement or trademark-related unfair competition.
The Administrative Department takes care of docketing, term inspection, annuity payments and management, foreign filing formalities, office automation, and general in-house services including mail, fax and internal archives.
The Financial Department ensures that all financial matters are well administered allowing our clients to be informed of their balance or in cases of under or overpayment.
The IT Department provides for state of the art computer technology having a highly skilled IT support team to constantly aid and improve the technical working conditions. We utilize a professional software background tailored to our specific needs and our in-house programmers continuously improve the system to match new requirements.
The management of Danubia is assisted by the Board. The members of the Board are elected and all the departments are represented therein.
The partners meet frequently and on a regular basis to share information and new ideas, to discuss management issues and to make business decisions. An active management style keeps the partners up-to-date on all of the firm's activities.
